Orthodontics for Kids and Adults

Dr. Sabrina Minski graduated from Paris VII Dental School. During her studies, she completed an exchange program with Harvard Dental School.

She then trained in orthodontics at New York University in the USA.

Dr. Sabrina Minski is fluent in English and can conduct consultations in English in order to help foreigners understand what they need and how the treatment will be conducted.

For Kids:

The AAO (American Association of Orthodontics) recommends to visit the orthodontist at 7 years old. (In some rare cases when the lower jaw is more forward than the upper jaw, a visit at 5 years old can be recommended.)

A first phase of treatment, if needed, is an orthopedic phase to address the jaw bones.

A second phase of treatment generally occurs during the teen years when all the permanent teeth have grown in, and consists of braces.

Dr. Minski provides all her orthodontic treatment with utmost attention. This includes placing the most secure retention system at the end of the orthodontic treatment. Therefore a fixed wire is placed at the back of the 6 front teeth (top and bottom), and a removable essex retainer is given to wear at night.

For Adults:

Dr. Minski’s office of orthodontics offers several different treatment options.

Aligners (Invisalign or Spark) can be an aesthetic and confortable option for aligning crooked teeth, deep bites, overbites, and other similar issues.

Lingual braces are the most discrete and invisible technique for which the brackets are bonded behind the teeth. The lingual braces used in Dr. Minski’s office come from either the Incognito lab or the Win Lingual system. This technique can treat most malocclusions and can be coupled with orthognathic surgery.

Conventional ceramic brackets are another option. These are colorless, transparent braces.

The technique is discrete and can treat all malocclusions.

All treatments are finished by Dr. Minski with fixed retainers and a removable upper retainer to wear at night. The fixed retainers are wires placed behind the 6 front teeth (top and bottom).
